About me

I love to build things. I work for NuMarket, a crowdfunding company that helps independent food & bev businesses, raise funds from their community.

I dropped out of an Urban Planning program in 2015 to chase after the excitement, impact and hyper growth of tech.

I spent 5 years in venture-back tech working in various Product, Design and UX roles. After this I attempted to build my own startup. Through this phase I fell in love with building with no-code which eventually led me to my role at NuMarket, as their primary product person and builder.

As I get older most of the richness in my life comes from physical connection and community and the physical spaces that facilitate them. Tech, at it best, actively facilitates or creates more time and space for a tangible, real and physical life. But at it’s worst, it wedges itself into the lives of people in ways they have no interest in, distracting them, radicalizing them, deceiving them and hurting them.

That said, I remain an optimist about tech, and love working on NuMarket because it falls squarely in the first category. When I’m done working, I live a warm, rich and active life with people (and dogs) I care about. That keeps me grounded in my current tech adventure. I spend most of my time enjoying my lovely city — Montreal, eating great food, nerding out about nutrition and exercise and training (primarily calisthenics, but other mobility and strength training styles as well).
